PHILOSOPHY
At Jennings Vocal Studio NYC, I focus on the healthy vocal development of all singers – no matter their age. Each lesson is individually crafted based on the needs of the student.
As a voice teacher, I pride myself on being a diagnostician who works closely with every student to analyze their personal vocal challenges. I see each vocal issue as an opportunity to enhance positive and healthy growth as a singer. To this end, I strive to create a supportive environment for my students. The voice is a highly personal instrument and requires a trusting environment in which to grow. This is why I view the teacher/student relationship as a partnership.
Above all, I want to inspire students to be honest performers, to whom audience members can relate. Singers must be able to connect music, text, and vocal technique, all while maintaining a healthy and free vocal production. Acting and interpretive skills, musical styles, and foreign language diction are also fully explored and cultivated in my studio. My desire is for the students' true vocal artistry to emerge and as their individuality flourishes, their ultimate career potential is realized.
LESSONS
